3 years agoWashington Capitals goaltender Ilya Samsonov will be the team's starter for Friday's meeting with Florida. The Russian netminder sits on an outstanding 7-0-1 record ahead of the matchups. The 24-year-old posted back-to-back shutouts last week and already had three of them for the season. He's allowed 2.22 goals per game with a .920 save percentage. This looks like a pretty intimidating matchup against one of the best teams in the league, but Florida has gone just 3-2-3 on the road this season.
