BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 52% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Saying Matisse Thybulle is a one-of-a-kind type of player isn't too far-fetched, folks. And I'm just not talking about cherry-picking stats here and there to elevate the Sixer, no sir. Thybs has definitely benefited from the absence of the likes of Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, Seth Curry, etc... in terms of his usage, but that has also created a tougher environment to operate into that he's navigated with gusto no matter what. Almost available in 50% of Yahoo leagues, you know what to do.
Thybulle missed time with COVID-related issues from Nov. 5 to Nov. 19, returning on the night of Nov. 20 and playing that match and then two more through last Wednesday, the last time we saw the Sixers in action prior to Saturday's outing against Minnesota (not yet played as I'm writing this blurb). In those last three games, as has been the case all year long, Thybs excelled playing 21 (limited after coming back from the health-and-safety protocols), 33, and 33 minutes while averaging a nightly 10-2 low line... but a monster 2.3+ steals per game (1-3-3 steals in those individual games) and 1.3+ BPG (1-1-2).
Thybulle is not going to take many shots, as even with other top-dogs off the court he's only attempted an average of 4.8 FGA on the year. The volume is low but the shooting percentage is huge at 52.7% on the season and an even better 65% in the past three outings. But don't get too lost in all of that information, Thybulle's mojo is to be found in the steals and blocks departments: 2.3 steals on the year and 1.7 blocks adorn his line. No player in the L is putting up those defensive numbers and only Anthony Davis, Covington, Capela, Towns, Drummond, and Giannis are averaging 1.1+ steals and blocks while having played at least 18 games this season.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
