Marcus Semien Inks Seven-Year Deal With Texas
3 years agoFree-agent middle infielder Marcus Semien has signed with the Texas Rangers for seven years and $175 million, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN. Semien is coming off a season in which he finished third in the American League MVP race after slashing .265/.334/.538 with 45 home runs, 15 steals, 102 RBI and 115 runs scored over 162 games with Toronto. Despite entering into a slightly worse lineup with the Rangers than what he had with the Blue Jays, Semien should still be one of the top middle infielders come draft day next season.
