3 years agoNew York Islanders center Mathew Barzal produced two assists in Sunday's 3-2 shootout loss against Chicago, helping Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Noah Dobson on the scoreboard. The first goal came on the power play. The Islanders now find themselves on an 11-game losing streak, but Barzal has actually done well himself lately, breaking a slump with five points in three games. He's boosted his points tally for the year up to 13 in 20 games. The Islanders now gear up for a matchup against fellow strugglers Ottawa and that will really be a must-win game for them.
