3 years agoWashington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin recorded his 13th multi-point outing in Monday's 4-3 shootout win over Anaheim, finishing the game with two assists and a game-high seven shots. Ovi also had six shots that missed the target in 23:25 of ice time. The Capitals captain now has 20 goals and 21 assists for the season, joining Leon Draisaitl as the only other player with 20-plus in both categories. He tied Dennis Maruk's franchise record for the fewest games needed (26) to reach 40 points in a season.
