3 years agoThird base coach Mark Kotsay is among the Oakland Athletics managerial candidates who have or are expected to interview soon, and the list also include Rays bench coach Matt Quatraro, Red Sox bench coach Will Venable, Astros bench coach Joe Espada, A's bullpen coach Marcus Jensen and A's hitting coach Darren Bush, according to sources. A source told MLB.com's Jon Paul Morosi on Monday that Kotsay has already been interviewed for the managerial opening. Oakland is looking to replace the departed Bob Melvin, who left for the San Diego Padres after the A's initially picked up his 2022 club option.
