Ty Johnson - Week 14 Outlook for Fantasy Football
3 years agoNew York Jets running back Ty Johnson has seen his role in the offense decrease over the last few weeks. However, that is likely going to change against the New Orleans Saints in Week 14. Lead back Michael Carter (ankle) is out and backup Tevin Coleman (concussion) is unlikely to play. That means, Johnson should be asked to pick up the slack, assuming Coleman is out. It's worth noting that Johnson has only seen five or more carries in three games this season. That being said, it wouldn't be surprising if Austin Walter makes a return to the roster and handles a majority of the ground work. Although, Johnson should still remain involved in the gameplan, assuming Coleman is out. The Saints have done a tremendous job at stopping the run this season. Johnson shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a desperation PPR option in deep leagues.
