3 years agoDenver Broncos rookie running back Javonte Williams was nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week after carrying 23 times for 102 yards while catching six passes for 76 yards and a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13 in his first career start. Williams was the first Broncos rookie to have more than 100 rushing yards and 75 receiving yards in the same game. It's the third time he has been nominated for the award (winning after Week 9), and he's now gone over 100 total yards in three of the last four games. Williams ranks third among rookies in rushing yards, and his 4.79 yards per carry is first among rookie RBs with at least 200 yards. Williams could have to deal with Melvin Gordon (hip, shoulder) returning this Sunday against the Detroit Lions, but at the very least, he'll be a low-end RB2 with upside against Detroit's awful run defense.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
