Joshua Palmer - Week 14 Outlook for Fantasy Football
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Josh Palmer drew plenty of praise this preseason, but hasn't done much during his first regular season. That could change on Sunday with the Chargers top two wide receivers, Keenan Allen (COVID-19) and Mike Williams (COVID-19) both on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Williams has been marked as a close contact, but will still need to continue to test negative. Both Williams and Allen have the opportunity to play on Sunday and their status should be known prior to then. If one or both were to miss Week 14 versus the New York Giants, Jalen Guyton would step up as the No. 1 wide receiver, but Palmer would line up as the No. 2. Should that scenario happen, the rookie is worth considering as a flex option in deeper leagues against a Giants defense allowing 150 yards and a touchdown per game to the wide receiver position. For now, managers can consider adding Palmer as an insurance policy, but his value will remain minimal if Williams and/or Allen suits up.
