BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 58% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Sure thing, that rostership is clearly above my self-imposed 50% threshold. But adding Kevin Love while you still can is looking like a very solid move to do these days. That's because Love is putting up numbers for the Cavs and whether Clevelands holds onto him and his low-maintenance role, or he gets eventually traded to a needy contender, odds are he keeps producing ridiculously efficient per-minute averages.
Love has not started a single game this season and he's playing just 20 MPG off the pine on the year. In the nine games he's played this month (through last Wednesday) his FP/min average has sat at an unreasonable 1.40 mark. For context, the league average is around 0.90, and Love's 1.40 average is on par with those of Giannis, Jokic, Embiid, Trae, LaMelo, or Steph just to name a few studs. Of course, those players are doing it while playing 30+ minutes and starting for their teams, but even then you get an idea of how productive Love has been on his limited role.
It's been six games in a row for Love finishing with double-digit points. He's averaging 15.5 PPG since Dec. 6 (included) and has also hit 3+ triples in all of those six matches. The rebounds are high at 6.8 RPG (12.2 per 36 minutes) while the dimes are low but steady at 1.6 APG. Love is turning the ball over at a high clip, so I wouldn't advise him on that front if that's a cat counting for your league's standings. That said, his usage rate is bonkers at 26.5% in December leading the Cavs second unit and the shooting percentages can't get much better after a shaky start: 48% from the field on 8.8 FGA per game in December and an even better 56% on 8.2 FGA in the last week of play (four games).

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
