Washington Optimistic About Antonio Gibson For Week 16
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson (toe) is listed as questionable and is expected to be a game-time decision against the Cowboys in Week 16, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. However, the team does have "optimism" about his availability for the divisional tilt. Gibson has been impactful since Washington's bye week, totaling 536 scrimmage yards and four total touchdowns over the last six games. Despite battling various injuries this season, Gibson has yet to miss a game. All the while, he has worked to carve out a significant role in the passing game, especially after J.D. McKissic suffered a concussion in Week 12. Although Gibson didn't practice at all this week, he could still see a sizable workload. If active, the 23-year-old should be viewed as a solid RB2 option against Dallas.
