3 years agoCarolina Panthers cornerback Stephon Gilmore (groin) has been ruled out in the Week 16 game with a groin injury. Gilmore had been matched up with Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown for much of the day, but he recorded only three tackles before leaving late in the second half. In nine games with the Panthers entering Week 16, Gilmore has 13 total tackles (12 solo), one tackle for loss, two interceptions and two passes defensed. Losing one of the better cover cornerbacks in the NFL would be bad news for a strong Panthers secondary heading into the final two games of the regular season. If Gilmore is forced to miss Week 17, expect Myles Hartsfield and Keith Taylor to see more snaps on defense.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
