Tyrann Mathieu Out For Rest Of Week 16
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu (quadriceps) will not return to Sunday's matchup against the Steelers. The veteran sustained a quad injury in the second half and was eventually ruled out after riding a questionable tag. However, with the Chiefs up by a wide margin, Mathieu's early exit could have been for precautionary reasons. The 29-year-old is currently leading the team with three interceptions while ranking second in tackles, so a potential absence wouldn't be good for the fantasy managers who have been enjoying an uptick in production from the Chiefs defense. Nonetheless, an update should be coming within the next day or so, but he will surely be needed against Joe Burrow and the red-hot Bengals' offense in Week 17.
