3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler has been removed from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday. Ekeler officially went on the COVID list last Wednesday and wasn't able to play in the team's surprising Week 16 loss to the Houston Texans. Justin Jackson filled in nicely as a fantasy and real-life replacement, though, carrying 11 times for 64 yards and two touchdowns while adding eight receptions on nine targets for 98 yards through the air. As long as he's feeling up to it, Ekeler should return to lead-back duties in Week 17 against the Denver Broncos, although Jackson has earned some more run with his performance the last two weeks. Ekeler has more appeal in PPR leagues because of his pass-catching prowess, but he's been a top-five fantasy back in all formats, so he should be returned to all starting lineups this week.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
