Jaret Patterson - Week 17 Outlook for Fantasy Football
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back Jaret Patterson will get his first opportunity to lead the backfield as Antonio Gibson will be sidelined for Week 17 after being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Patterson has been able to see an increased role since J.D. McKissic has been sidelined, but he figures to be in a committee approach with Jonathan Williams against the Eagles. He has been efficient in his past three games, gaining 82 yards on 17 carries and finding the end zone. He hasn't had a role in the passing game, so his ceiling could be limited in PPR formats. The rookie will be in the FLEX discussion for standard-sized leagues, but fantasy managers should be cautious starting him in the fantasy championship. The Washington offense has struggled of late, so a negative game script could be detrimental to the fantasy value of the former Buffalo collegiate star.
