Carson Wentz Held To One Touchdown In Week 17 Loss
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz completed 16 of 27 passes for 148 yards and a touchdown during a 23-20 Week 17 loss against the Las Vegas Raiders. Wentz added 10 yards on the ground and avoided turnovers. However, he did not make enough big plays to seal the win. His lone touchdown occurred on a deep target that bounced off of a defender's hands and into the outstretched arms of T.Y. Hilton. Wentz has thrown just one touchdown pass in three of his last four games, showing how much the team relies on its star running back, Jonathan Taylor. A Week 18 road contest in Jacksonville should be enough to elevate Wentz's mediocre play, with the Jaguars defense ranking as the sixth-best matchup for fantasy quarterbacks.
