3 years agoNew York Jets running back Austin Walter was asked to step up after Michael Carter (concussion) went down in the middle of the game. The Jets have little depth at running back with Tevin Coleman also sidelined due to COVID-19 protocols. That being said, Walter was given an increased workload since the Jets lost their first two backs. He rushed 14 times for 49 yards in the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He surprisingly did have some decent runs to the outside in this game. Walter could be asked to be the lead back next week, assuming Carter and Coleman aren't cleared to play. However, it's tough to imagine him having much value against the Buffalo Bills defense.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
