John Bates Totals 35 Yards In Week 17
3 years agoWashington Football Team tight end John Bates caught three passes for 35 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The rookie took over for Ricky Seals-Jones (neck) after he exited the game with a neck injury. With Logan Thomas also sidelined, Bates has a chance to prove himself in Week 18 as he figures to have an expanded role in the offense as the No. 1 option at the position. He has shown his ability as a receiver over the past few weeks, so the remainder of the season could potentially be a showcase for the 2022 campaign.
