3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (thumb) said he "didn't feel so hot" after throwing for the first time since injuring his thumb on Dec. 23. Since Week 18 against the Los Angeles Rams is a must-win game for the 49ers as they try to clinch a playoff spot, it would seem likely that the team would again turn to rookie Trey Lance rather than play Garoppolo at less than 100%. After a slow start, Lance looked solid in his last start against the Texans but would obviously face a much tougher test against Aaron Donald and the Rams defense. Lance does bring some value with his legs, which makes him a high-end QB2 option in season-long leagues, and his low price tag on DFS sites could make him a solid cash-game play since the 49ers are one of the few teams with a lot to play for and will absolutely be playing all of their starters.--Eric Samulski - RotoBaller
