Giovani Bernard Back At Practice And Hoping To Return Sunday
3 years agoTampa Bay Bucs running back Giovani Bernard (knee) was working with training staff at practice on Thursday but head coach Bruce Arians said the team was hopeful they might get him back as soon as Sunday. With Leonard Fournette on the IR and Ronald Jones (ankle) not practicing, Bernard could return to a situation where the splits work with Ke'Shawn Vaughn or Le'Veon Bell, if Vaughn (ribs) can't play. After having not played in a month, we shouldn't expect a large workload of Bernard, but his activation would cap the ceiling of Vaughn (if he starts) and likely kill the value of Bell, who some people were hoping to use as a cheap DFS pivot. In truth, he's not cheap enough to use there.
