BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 55% of leagues
ANALYSIS: I guess there are no doubts left regarding where the Knicks are at in their process to contention after what happened in 2021 and the start of 2022: nowhere close to the chip, that's where. The Knicks are a borderline play-in team sitting at the 10th seed of the Eastern Conference. They decided to bring Kemba Walker to town this summer... only to then remove him from the rotation entirely, welcome him back, and see him score 40+ points. It's now Alec Burks starting at the point, and being honest, that's probably the best news for NY.
Burks became the starting point guard of the Knicks all the way back on Nov. 27 and he held onto that privilege until Dec. 23 missing on starting the team's Christmas Game (see, the Knicks...). He came off the pine for five straight, but he's already started two in a row through Saturday playing 36 and 38 minutes and doing a little bit of everything, for the good and for the bad. Burks put up a solid 14-6-4-3 line against Indy in the first of those two games, but then forgot about scoring points and finished with a 3-9-7-1 contribution in edging Boston last Thursday.
If the rotation stabilizes and Burks stays as the starting point guard, we could very well expect some 15-5-3-1 baseline from the guard/wing. That's mostly because Burks is not your typical point guard, so he will suffer at some of the things a point does (mainly, dishing out dimes) but excel at other rarer such as grabbing boards. All things considered, Burks should be rostered in pretty much every league and comes with good-not-great percentages, tons of triples, slightly bouncy point outcomes, and huge stealing numbers (1.2 SPG on the year, 1.4 since Nov. 27 when he started his first game of the year).

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
