3 years agoThe Carolina Panthers plan to keep head coach Matt Rhule around for the 2022 season, and he will begin looking for an offensive coordinator next week, according to sources. The 46-year-old is 10-22 as the head coach of the Panthers heading into the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Carolina fired offensive coordinator Joe Brady with five games remaining in the season, and senior offensive assistant Jeff Nixon took over the offensive coordinator duties the rest of the way. The Panthers haven't made the playoffs or had a winning season since 2017. Running back Christian McCaffrey playing in only 10 games the last two years has really hurt Rhule and the Panthers offense. A quick turnaround will be needed in 2022 if Rhule wants to keep his job in 2023 and beyond.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
