Jerry Jeudy Finishes The Year With No Touchdowns
3 years agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy caught two of five targets for 30 yards in the Week 18 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday to close out the season. Jeudy's five targets were the second-most on the team, but it was another disappointing game for the second-year pass-catcher, who finished without a single touchdown in 10 games played. The 22-year-old's season got off to a bad start in the season opener when he suffered a high ankle sprain that caused him to miss six weeks. Jeudy never really recovered and finished with 38 catches on 56 targets for 467 yards and no touchdowns. His yards-per-catch dropped from 16.5 in his rookie season to 12.3 this year, and the Broncos coaching staff just couldn't get him involved enough, which is part of the reason head coach Vic Fangio and offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur were fired after the game. Jeudy will enter 2022 as a WR3 with upside, depending on what the Broncos do at the QB position in the offseason.
