3 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (thumb) is officially active for the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday against the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. Garoppolo was able to practice in a limited fashion all week and was expected to start this must-win game after suffering a Grade 3 sprain of his right thumb in Week 16 and missing Week 17. Although rookie first-rounder Trey Lance has more fantasy upside because of his rushing ability and strong arm, the Niners are going with Garoppolo's experience in this huge game with everything on the line. Garoppolo's accuracy will be something to watch in this one, and the 49ers will likely lean heavily on their ground game and short passes. Jimmy G will be a shaky QB2 play for fantasy managers, and he'll also be without All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams (elbow).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
