David Njoku Wants To Stay In Cleveland
3 years agoCleveland Browns tight end David Njoku wants to sign a contract extension that will keep him with the team for the long term. "I love it here. I love it here to the core," Njoku said. "I honestly want to be here for the rest of my career, so my agent and the Browns are still in talks, we're still negotiating, figuring out what we can do, and we'll go from there." The 25-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason after catching 36 passes on 53 targets for 475 yards and a team-high four touchdowns in 16 games. Pro Football Focus ranked him 15th among 75 qualifying tight ends. Njoku would probably be a TE1 on a weekly basis if he weren't in Cleveland, where he shares snaps with both Austin Hooper and Harrison Bryant.
