Giants Fire Head Coach Joe Judge
3 years agoThe New York Giants fired head coach Joe Judge on Tuesday, according to a source. Judge is gone after just two seasons with the Giants, and the move comes a day after general manager Dave Gettleman retired after four seasons with the team. In his two seasons with the Giants, Judge went 10-23, and he becomes the third straight Giants coach to be fired after two seasons or less. Judge started 0-5 last year, and the Giants have missed the playoffs in nine of the last 10 seasons, one of the worst 10-year stretches in franchise history. The 40-year-old spent the previous eight seasons working under New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, mainly as the special teams coordinator. Losing quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) for the final six games of the season made New York's already low-scoring offense downright inept.
