James Washington Activated From COVID-19 List Thursday
3 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers activated wide receiver James Washington from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday. Washington went on the COVID list on Jan. 8 and didn't play in the Week 18 regular season finale against the Baltimore Ravens. The 25-year-old will return to action this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs in the wild-card game, but he might be even further down the depth chart if JuJu Smith-Schuster (shoulder) is able to return and play a significant amount of offensive snaps. Ray-Ray McCloud has had a bigger role in recent weeks, too, and Washington is also behind Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool, so he'll be a desperation boom/bust DFS play at a cheap cost this weekend. Washington averaged 1.6 catches and 19 receiving yards while scoring twice in 15 games for the Steelers this year.
