3 years agoThe Houston Texans fired head coach David Culley on Thursday after just one season with the team. When he was hired, Culley became the oldest first-time NFL head coach at 65 years old. Before he landed the gig, he spent two seasons as the Baltimore Ravens assistant head coach, passing-game coordinator and wide receivers coach. Before that, Culley spent 43 years as an assistant in college football and the NFL. Houston went 4-13 under Culley in 2021, winning the same number of games as they did the previous season, but Culley did it with a depleted roster that had just one first-round pick in the last four years. The Texans were also without quarterback Deshaun Watson all year while he faces 22 active lawsuits for sexual assault.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
