3 years agoIn his introductory press conference today New York Giants General Manager Joe Schoen said the team would "build an offense to accentuate what Daniel does best." This is good news for fantasy managers who roster Jones in dynasty leagues and good news for Daniel Jones' fantasy value next season. Jones was actually solid in his third season, completing 64.3% of passes and rushing for 298 and two touchdowns in 11 games. Obviously, his ten touchdowns to seven interceptions leave something to be desired, but Joe Schoen was in Buffalo when the team re-tooled their entire offense to fit Josh Allen's skillset, so it makes sense to believe he will try and do the same here. That likely means making more use out of Jones' rushing ability and bringing in strong route-running wide receivers who get separation in order to give Jones easier reads. That likely means less emphasis on jump ball receivers like Kenny Golladay and more emphasis on strong route runners like Emmanuel Sanders and speed in space players like Cole Beasley and Isaiah McKenzie, all of whom were brought in to Buffalo to help Allen. Obviously, the Giants won't be looking to land those specific guys but players like them.--Eric Samulski - RotoBaller
