9-Category Leagues - Waiver Wire Adds
This column is written based on H2H 9-category standard size leagues. All players in this article are rostered at around 50 percent or less.
Bismack Biyombo, C - Phoenix Suns
53% rostered
Biyombo keeps on trucking. He has three double-doubles in his last four games and is someone who needs to be on your team right now. This won't last because Deandre Ayton and JaVale McGee will return at some point, but until they do, Biyombo is walking double-double with great efficiency and can get a couple of blocks for you as well.
Luke Kennard, SG/SF - Los Angeles Clippers
45% rostered
Kennard has made four or more threes in three of his last four games. He's also scored 20-plus points in two of the last three games. Kennard is basically the Clippers offense right now, which isn't great for the actual Clippers, but it's good for anyone in fantasy who needs a guard who can score points, make threes, and grab a handful of rebounds.
Hassan Whiteside, PF/C - Utah Jazz
44% rostered
Rudy Gobert is out, which has led to an uptick in usage for Hassan Whiteside. Need like 10 points and nine rebounds per game on really efficient shooting until Gobert is back? Then go add Whiteside. He won't do a ton of stuff, but he's a fine depth play.
Otto Porter Jr., SF/PF - Golden State Warriors
43% rostered
Five games in a row for Porter scoring 11 or more points, grabbing at least four rebounds, and making a three. He also seems to add either steals or blocks each night, but weirdly isn't really doing both on the same night. But whatever. Porter is playing solid basketball and should be on your roster.
Matisse Thybulle, SG/SF - Philadelphia 76ers
42% rostered
Thybulle didn't do a lot on Saturday, but he's still a good add for people who need steals and field goal percentage. The scoring numbers aren't great, but there's upside here because of the defensive numbers.
Willy Hernangomez, C - New Orleans Pelicans
36% rostered
Hernangomez has played 30-plus minutes in the last three games, with two double-doubles over that span. That included a 29-point, 10-rebound game.
The Pelicans really sound like they want Hernangomez to be a big part of this team going forward, so while he'll likely slow down some, I still think he's a priority waiver add right now for anyone who needs a boost up front.
Gabe Vincent, PG - Miami Heat
22% rostered
It's unclear how much longer Kyle Lowry will be away from the Heat, but until he returns, Vincent will continue to give you 15-plus points with a handful of assists and rebounds, plus a bunch of threes. That won't last forever, but take what you're getting right now from him.
Davion Mitchell, PG/SG - Sacramento Kings
20% rostered
Last week, Terence Davis was a popular waiver add...and then Davis suffered a wrist injury and is out indefinitely, so now let's pivot over to Mitchell, who had 20 points and six assists against the Hawks on the 26th and then followed that up with 15 and five against the Sixers. The Kings have lost six in a row and could be dealing some veterans soon, opening up more chances for Mitchell. Go ahead and add him.
Maxi Kleber, PF/C - Dallas Mavericks
21% rostered
Kristaps Porzingis left Saturday's game with a knee issue and Kleber took advantage of some extra usage, scoring 15 points and pulling down 14 rebounds with three three-pointers. If Porzingis misses time, Kleber is a great add in 12-team leagues as someone who can provide you some nice frontcourt depth.
