Dolphins Shopping DeVante Parker?
3 years agoCharlie Campbell of Walter Camp Football reported this week that the Miami Dolphins "have shopped" wide receiver DeVante Parker, but it's news to Parker. Parker was limited to just 11 games in 2021 due to hamstring injuries, but general manager Chris Grier has been a big supporter of Parker after he caught 40 passes for 515 yards and two touchdowns. He remains under contract for a reasonable $5.6 million during the 2022 season, but none of that money is guaranteed. Parker's salary cap hit drops from $8.7 million to $5.4 million if he's cut or traded before June 1, and he has a dead-money cap hit of $2.7 million if he's cut after June 1. With head coach Brian Flores now gone, the Dolphins could decide to move on from the 29-year-old, who has two years left on his contract.
