Brian Flores A Finalist For Texans Head-Coaching Job
3 years agoThe Houston Texans finalists for their head-coaching vacancy include former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores, Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon and former quarterback Josh McCown, according to league sources. It's somewhat of a surprise that Flores remains a finalist after filing a class-action lawsuit alleging racial discrimination in hiring practices in the NFL this week. It has been widely speculated that the Texans want to hire McCown. Flores' experience with the New England Patriots made him an attractive candidate in Houston, where executives Jack Easterby and Nick Caserio had experience working with Flores in New England. McCown's only coaching experience is as a high school assistant coach.
