Ravens Expected To Pick Up Marquise Brown's Option
3 years agoBaltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said he anticipates picking up wide receiver Marquise Brown's fifth-year player option. DeCosta also said he expects cornerback Marcus Peters to remain with the team. The Ravens could create $10 million in salary cap space by cutting Peters. Brown's 2021 season ended with a frustrating finish, but that also likely had a lot to do with quarterback Lamar Jackson's (ankle) injury. The 24-year-old speedy pass-catcher was the team's No. 1 receiver all season long and finished career-highs in catches (91), targets (146) and receiving yards (1,008) while scoring six touchdowns in 16 games in his third season. Brown will be a strong WR2 choice for fantasy managers heading into the 2022 season.
