3 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers (shoulder) wasn't seen at the portion of practice open to the media on Friday. Akers hasn't practiced at all this week, but head coach Sean McVay reiterated this week that the only player whose game status he was worried about was Tyler Higbee's (knee), who was injured in the NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers. Akers was also injured last week, but unlike Higbee, he was able to return to the game. With another week before the Super Bowl against the Cincinnati Bengals, Akers should have enough time to heal up. The 22-year-old saw 14 touches for 50 yards in the win over the 49ers, with Sony Michel getting 11 touches (12 yards). Akers should remain the preferred RB for the Rams against Cincinnati in the big game.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
