3 years agoAlex Bowman qualified 14th on Saturday night and will be in the fourth position when Heat 2 gets underway Sunday afternoon. The No. 48 car had some nice moments in practice too but was a hair off from the top cars during that faster session. His runs were not quite as good as the top two Hendricks cars driven by Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott. He will have to find that little extra speed to make the main field for Sunday's 23-driver shootout. Expect laps to be faster and Bowman will have to keep up. If he can, the No. 48 can be a factor on Sunday.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
