Kevin O'Connell High On Kirk Cousins
3 years agoLos Angeles Rams offensive coordinator and soon-to-be Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell has conveyed his belief in quarterback Kirk Cousins and is high on him, according to sources. The Vikings front office must decide on Cousins' future due to his $45 million salary cap hit in 2022, but O'Connell apparently wants to move forward with him as his QB. Many have been speculating that Minnesota will trade Cousins this offseason, but he's owed $35 million in base salary alone. Cousins finished as the QB9 in fantasy during the 2021 season, passing for 4,221 yards, 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions as a Pro Bowler. If he sticks around with the Vikes, he'll remain a low-end QB1/high-end QB2 for fantasy managers in O'Connell's first season as head coach.
