3 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars are hiring former Los Angeles Chargers head coach Mike McCoy as their quarterbacks coach, according to sources. McCoy will join new head coach Doug Pederson's staff and will get a chance to work with last year's No. 1 overall pick in quarterback Trevor Lawrence. McCoy hasn't coached in the NFL since 2018. He was the Denver Broncos offensive coordinator from 2009-12 before landing the head-coaching gig for the Chargers from 2013-16. He returned to Denver in 2017 before serving as the offensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals in 2018. Only twice in 10 years as an offensive coordinator did McCoy's unit rank in the top 10 in points scored.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
