Jim Bob Cooter Expected To Join Jaguars Staff
3 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to hire former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter as their new passing-game coordinator under head coach Doug Pederson, according to a source. Cooter has worked with the likes of Peyton Manning and Matthew Stafford, and now he'll have a chance to get his hands on last year's No. 1 overall pick in Trevor Lawrence. The 37-year-old was a behind-the-scenes consultant for Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni last year. Cooter was the Lions quarterbacks coach in 2014 before being promoted to offensive coordinator in 2015. He also served as the running backs coach for the New York Jets from 2019-20 under then-head coach Adam Gase.
