3 years agoThe Boston Red Sox signed infielder Yolmer Sanchez, catcher Roldani Baldwin and first baseman Roberto Ramos to minor league deals with invites to spring training on Wednesday. Sanchez, 29, is the most intriguing of the trio. He has a solid glove but hasn't been much of a threat at the plate in his career. He didn't play at all in the majors in 2021 and played in only 11 games for the White Sox in 2020 and profiles as a long-term Triple-A depth guy for Boston or elsewhere. In seven major league seasons for the Chicago White Sox, Sanchez has slashed .245/.300/.360 with 32 home runs, 215 RBI, 30 stolen bases and 252 runs scored in 657 games played.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
