3 years agoThe Texas Rangers are reportedly interested in trading for Oakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson. According to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News, the Rangers have "already begun investigating" what an Olson acquisition might cost them. Texas will "absolutely" circle back with the A's to see if there's a potential fit. The 27-year-old slashed .271/.371/.540 with 39 home runs, 111 RBI, 101 runs scored, and four stolen bases over 673 plate appearances in 2021. The A's are willing to listen to offers on Olson, who is controllable through the 2023 season. Grant suggests an Olson package would require, at minimum, first baseman Nathaniel Lowe. If Olson is dealt once the MLB lockout ends, a move to Texas won't change his fantasy outlook much in 2022. Stay tuned.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
