Cooper Kupp Named Offensive Player Of The Year
3 years agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp, who claimed the first receiving triple crown in more than a decade, was named the 2021 Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year on Thursday. He's the third wideout to win the award, joining Jerry Rice and Michael Thomas. Kupp's 145 catches and 1,947 receiving yards were the second-highest totals in NFL history, and he also added 16 touchdowns. Including the playoffs this year, he has 170 catches, 2,333 yards and 20 TDs over 20 games. Kupp had 90-plus receiving yards in 13 straight games and 16 games total, and his 11 games with 100-plus yards tied an NFL record. The Kupp and Matthew Stafford connection blossomed once Robert Woods suffered a season-ending injury in November. Kupp and the Rams will try to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday in the Super Bowl.
