3 years agoCincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was named the 2021 Associated Press Comeback Player of the Year on Thursday night, edging out Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott 28-21 in voting. Burrow took a Bengals team that won four games in 2020 all the way to the franchise's third Super Bowl appearance this season. The second-year signal-caller also underwent surgery to fix a significant knee injury that he suffered as a rookie. Burrow finished sixth in passing yards in the regular season, had a 34-14 touchdown-to-interception ratio and the second-best passer rating (108.3), behind only Aaron Rodgers. Burrow got hot late in the regular season, going over 440 yards in two of his final five games. Regardless of what happens in the Super Bowl, Burrow is firmly on the QB1 map for fantasy managers heading into next season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
