T.J. Watt Takes Home Defensive Player Of The Year Honors
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt was named the 2021 Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year on Thursday. The 27-year-old pass-rusher was the most disruptive defensive player last season when it came to putting heat on the opposing quarterback. Watt tied the single-season sack record with 22.5 sacks and also recorded 64 total tackles, which was the second-highest total of his career. He forced five fumbles as well despite missing two games due to injury. Watt has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of the last four seasons and has also been a first-team All-Pro each of the last three years. He'll certainly be one of the first defensive players to come off the board in IDP formats for the 2022 season.
