Mike Vrabel Named 2021 Coach Of The Year
3 years agoTennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel was named the 2021 Associated Press Coach of the Year on Thursday night. Vrabel, who also received a contract extension from the Titans this week, won the award over Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur and Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor. Vrabel led Tennessee to their second straight AFC South title and third straight playoff appearance in 2021, also earning the top overall seed in the AFC playoffs. The fourth-year head coach kept the Titans on track despite losing the league's leading rusher at the time in Derrick Henry to a broken foot in Week 8. The Titans used an unprecedented 91 players during the season due to various injuries and COVID-19.
