Carson Wentz May Be Done In Indianapolis
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Carson Wentz may be traded or released before March 19, the day his $15 million base salary would become guaranteed, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. The signal-caller battled injuries throughout his five previous seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. However, he appeared in 17 of 18 regular season games during the 2021-22 campaign, finishing the year with 3,563 yards, 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Unquestionably, losing Wentz would leave the Colts with a massive void at the position. With the team surrendering its 2022 first-round pick to obtain the veteran's services, it's unknown how the front office will deal with the situation if Wentz isn't under center moving forward.
