3 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers signed first baseman/outfielder Stefen Romero to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training on Saturday, according to a source. Romero smacked 96 home runs in the last five seasons while playing in Japan, including the shortened season in 2020. The 33-year-old could be a designated hitter option for the Dodgers this year, but the fact that spring training will likely be delayed or canceled altogether this year won't help Romero's chances. He has a career slash line of .195/.242/.307 with four home runs and 17 RBI in 94 games (233 plate appearances) over three seasons, all with the Seattle Mariners from 2014-16.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
