Rams Want To Discuss An Extension With Matthew Stafford
3 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has done everything the organization has asked of him this season. He finished with 4,886 passing yards with 41 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in 17 games in 2021. The 34-year-old quarterback helped the Rams get to the Super Bowl in his first season with the team. That being said, the Rams appear interested in signing Stafford long term. He has one year left on his contract with a cap hit of $23 million for next season. Stafford was obviously an upgrade over Jared Goff and exactly what this team needed. It wouldn't be surprising to see Stafford play at least two or three more seasons. The two sides are likely to discuss a deal this offseason.
