Joe Burrow To Have Knee Checked Out
3 years agoCincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (knee), who was sacked a Super Bowl-tying seven times in the loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, came up limping badly after taking a sack in the fourth quarter. Burrow remained in the game, but he said after that he will have his knee looked at in Cincinnati. The second-year QB went 22-for-33 for 263 yards and a touchdown in the big game, but he was "disappointed" in the way he played. The 25-year-old was under constant pressure from the Rams strong defensive front, but this performance shouldn't diminish what Burrow did in 2021. He led the league with a 70.4 completion percentage while throwing for 4,611 yards, 34 touchdowns and 14 interceptions after playing in only 10 games in his rookie season before blowing his knee out. If fully healthy in 2022, Burrow firmly put himself in the QB1 mix with his sophomore campaign.
