Rams Record Seven Sacks In Super Bowl Victory
3 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams defense stepped up in a big way in the 23-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday in Super Bowl LVI. They tied a Super Bowl record by sacking quarterback Joe Burrow seven times, with pass-rushers Aaron Donald and Von Miller each recording two sacks. Los Angeles didn't manage to get any takeaways in the big game, but they held Cincinnati's potent offense to only 305 yards of total offense (226 passing, 79 rushing) and got enough pressure on Burrow consistently to slow them down. The Rams D wasn't quite as special from a fantasy perspective in 2021 as they were the previous year, but they were still a strong fantasy option, depending on the matchup. With Donald considering retirement and Miller potentially leaving in free agency, the Rams pass rush could look quite different next year.
