Joe Mixon Throws A Touchdown In Loss To Rams
3 years agoCincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon did everything he could in Super Bowl LVI against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, but the Bengals still came up short. Mixon carried the ball 15 times for 72 yards (4.8 yards per carry) and also threw a six-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Tee Higgins. He had five catches for only one yard on six targets in the passing game. The 25-year-old made his first Pro Bowl in 2021 and bounced back in a big way after his injury in 2020 to record his third 1,000-yard rushing season while scoring 16 total touchdowns (13 rushing) for the Bengals in 16 regular season games. As the team's lead back in a potent offense with young quarterback Joe Burrow at the helm, Mixon will be firmly in the RB1 mix again in 2022.
